For police response and record-keeping the city is divided into two districts, East and West.  Each district is comprised of a number of beats, and each beat is further divided into zones.

The two districts are divided along two major roadways.  Everything west of Vandora Springs Road and everything North of Garner Road is generally in the West District.  Everything east of Vandora Springs Road and everything south of Garner Road is generally in the East District.
